In this week's episode, I discuss and dismantle some of the myths surrounding the origins of the Great Depression, the ways in which it unfolded - from the idea that Herbert Hoover was some sort of "do-nothing President", to the even sillier notion that FDR "saved" the USA, to the downright absurd one that the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act made it all far worse than it had to be - and the manner in which it ended.
I also make a bit of a digression into how open market operations work, and the extreme dangers posed by the unaccountable, unelected, uncontrolled Federal Reserve, and the ways in which the Fed affects trade, commerce, and liberty at virtually every level of the economy.
